[Music] welcome to two giant goofball a New York Giants podcast are you a goofball that loves Giants football if so sit back and relax as we talk about the team that both excites and frustrates us so much and now and now here are your goofball hosts Drew and Rob welcome fellow goofballs of two giant goofballs in New York Giants podcast I am Drew joined as always by a me Rob happy after a good week of some football oh it it was a good week of football too there was some close games there was some very bad games depending on who you're a fan of as well tou some big injuries uh a big drop in one game that costed the one team a game and so yeah a a lot of good action here overall here yeah a lot of division games well maybe not a lot division games but a lot of division games have mattered yes I mean it was definitely a division weekend that's for damn sure yeah so before we get into the games itself a couple quick notes Here on the Giants here uh recap some stuff here from the the game that we had here yesterday uh interesting news came out after the game that apparently the Giants were forced to take cold showers after the game and no not because the defense was red hot taking away the six times because of the fact that the FedEx Field is a dumpster Heap basically what it falls down to and Tomy DeVito W up having V parmesan instead of chicken cutlets oh oh horrible horrible um that living sit home but yeah I I even read that the commanders didn't even have water at all in their lock that's how bad it was whatever well you know what it's nice to them to be such a good host that they don't get showers but you give the cold showers to the way team yeah it's it's it's kind of crazy I mean in the NFL that should never happen ever I mean this Stadium's got to go the Stadium's just got to die already with the with the the field the team's old name and the old owner and everything else bad about this franchise for so long how old is FedEx Field it's not that old it's one I feel like it was just built with Chinese drywall it's just one of those things like it's just I went there it opened in 97 I was there 10 years ago yeah it opened in 97 so I went there the year after the Avengers the first movie came out so whenever how long that is that's when I was there it was RG3's Soph my year and they built the damn gold statue of that man who didn't after one season after one season not play for them that year because of his injury so yeah I mean that's sanity though for the first time in DC sanity though 1997 it was built yeah it's you want to said even more crazy I'm looking at Google and I'm looking at it cost $250 million to build and they're saying that's the a $458 million and $222 with inflation if that doesn't get to start on inflation topic that's for a whole different podcast I about say that's a different topic let's go a totally different podcast as I always not talk about groceries

yeah let's go back to chicken cutlets chicken pal so much more difficult to make that I say it every day at work I every single thing's going up except our paychecks his life right now um although I went to DC and I had I went to a bar just I can't think of the name of the bar but they had a burger there it was called the damn good burger okay remember sitting at the bar just looking at the bartender like is this a clever name or is this true he goes it's probably the best thing in the menu and it's at a raw bar like kind of establishment okay I was like all right I'm gonna go with the burger and it was by far a damn good burger my God I'm glad the name was not incorrect yeah I'm telling you you find the damn good burger in DC yeah get it there we go I also always recommend the the uh the restaurant Founding Farmers in DC it's uh down by the White House on the Le Memorial side and it's really good really good um all right other notes Here Kavon Tibido we talked about the show last night he uh finally cliped 10 sacks in the season which again we we got a lot more games to go guys this is this is potentially to be a really really good uh season for him overall I mean 10 and a half sacks alone is a good season but he's got a potential to do 145 sudden one you know one of the best giant sack years ever basically um his sack so big oh so big so big now interesting stat I saw today that you know we should have probably thought of but I'm glad I I somebody else had mentioned it so I got the chance to catch it I wish I remember who said it first here because it went all over the Internet like crazy Kavon Tibido is the first player to ever Eclipse 10 SE under wik marale yes I was I'm gonna go ahead and say that was uh Bobby Skinner from T of giants uh you know it know wink had like six sacks the last year went to the uh you know uh went to the the Patriots where people do tend to get sex 12 and A2 15 and A2 last year I mean that's pretty crazy if you think about it the fact that if he did better sophomore as a sophomore like where is the ceiling for this guy yeah there that just shines a talent they also as I recall that's for sure as I recall they also brought up that pinck since you said it has the most interceptions on the Giants with two oh yes doubling the next guy yes exactly oh my gosh so PFF also came out with the ratings for offensive lineman it's one of the things I lot people like to look at with the Giants specifically since we're kind of looking at the highs and lows of the Season obviously mostly being lows at that position interesting that of the nine sacks only two of them were attributed to offensive lineman by PFF the other seven all blamed on the quarterback yeah thought that was interesting stat again we talked about that a lot with Jones as far as him not reading defenses and stuff like that obviously you expect an undrafted rookie to have trouble with this as well um but yeah well he did but saying you look at that stat line go oh my God that offensive line got got him killed no he got himself killed yeah so that reminds me of like 10 years ago 15 years ago when the Steelers were a actually a good team not like drawn up on paper like oh my God we're kind of like an okay team looking at the Steelers this year and we'll go down that line as well but Big Ben apologized I remember watching him on one of those pre-s Sunday football like on Fox just apologizing to his line he goes listen I get a lot of sacks it's not my offensive Li's fault I take too much time in that pocket because I try to find the best guy out there I try to throw the to the best Rogers had that problem at the beginning remember he used to always get blamed for taking too much hits as well yeah so just it's funny that to tank for the pick 76% said they wanted to tank for the pick I was kind of shocked by that I thought it'd be a much closer 50/50 kind of battle but yeah 76 we have plenty of time to lose the rest of the season yes don't you worry the Eagles are still coming twice yeah don't worry we will lose we'll still lose don't you worry exactly I mean Grant at this point right the berries got the first and second pick crazy is that you know what the scary thing are a pick five I'm already mock drafting my like like already using you know the draft simulators in mock drafting because that's where I'm at the season and I did it with the Giants a couple times today I did it with the Bears too I was curious just in general like what would happen and I'm like let's let's play the scenario that I don't want Caleb Williams and I'm the Bears so somebody offers me a massive package to go ahead and get him or I mean if they don't want him they don't have to draft him so here's what I did though I went ahead and traded down got an extra first and second next year along with an extra two picks this year still got Drake May with a second overall pick uh and still end up getting marvon Harrison Marvin Harrison Jr with the second pick that I got in the

trade okay yeah H this interesting it's going to be interesting draft time when it comes to the Bears to see what they want to do because there's all kinds of rumors they actually want to keep Justin fields which I just say it's it's it's been back and forth if they keep keep Justin Fields is there Daniel Jones and what I mean by that is he gives you just enough to have some hope but in the end he's not a winner I am going to not agree with you but not disagree with you said he's not a winner same as Jones I hate to say because Jones had a good year last year we won with him but overall for his career is not a winner Justin Fields is also not a winner he they also have similar setups Granite Fields is way more of a runner than Daniel Jones yeah Jones passing yard this year I mean he's also not played half he's played half the games that Fields has and Fields has not been in the game fields has been out for half the Year too no he's not quite that long four

games Anyway said it's gonna be it's gonna be just an interesting team to watch all right let's get into the games the games the games the gam talk about the bear embarass embarass the barar and bears the bearing Bears there's The Bernstein Bernstein well the Bears aren't even the first game up though the first game up is the Bengals at the Ravens there the N AFC North yeah the AFC North battle here as the Ravens Crush uh the Bengals 34 to 20 and the Bengals lost much more than the game as I going to Joe burrow out for the year now after aggravating a wrist injury a wrist injury you didn't hear about before before the game but during the game they were showing pictures of him coming off the plane with a a brace on his on his wrist and everything I was going to bring that up I beat to the punch multiple times and apparently Josh R beat you to the punch which she messed up his wrist but Dave porno came out today and he's talked about how he's going to sue the

NFL apparently I don't know how true it is I didn't put that much work into it I just woke up and watch the clip because if you're if you're Ben right and the whole thing about an injury Port is you're supposed to specify the injuries Y which changes the lines yes now you come off the the airplane into Baltimore and you're wearing wrist you you a bandish on for your wrist and he's L as healthy like this could have changed the line big time yeah huge and they got a they got a valid complaint in that regard so um but you know in the end he has enough money just visiting random pizzas and giving good and bad reviews so he's fine he's not hurt he's got enough money when he sold it and bought it back for a dollar or whatever H so let's get on to the Sunday Sunday Sunday Sunday Sunday Sunday first upep Rob go for it talk about a bombshell talk about like you want your wrist to be hurt you got you got the Cowboys going into Carolina playing them panties why would you wrist her from that game what are you doing during football so so many hits are taken oh God what are you do to nor football not that that's Cowboys 33 so the lingerie comes around again

to the Panthers 10 and those 10 points came up in pretty much garbage time because they were so far out of this game it wasn't even funny the like us playing the

Cowboys yeah pretty much it was like in the middle of between the first game and the second game we play it's at that point in the season we can just make comments like that it's okay yeah it was like between the first and second time we played the Cowboys because we play better the second time around than the first time because we got slacked but so did so

did and McCarthy for whatever reason also didn't want to lay up on the the Giants he just said eff it like we're just gonna go through and hand you guys out Bryce young was 16 of 29 122 yards one touchdown garbage time and one interception normal time Allan th had you say Allan yes I said Adam th is that brother Allan yes this his younger brother he had his worst game in probably the past six weeks he only had 74 yards eight catches slacker slacker oh my god he has th he he didn't go over 100 yards for the first time ever this year actually last last week he only had 40 42 games I said 42 games that's Prett impressive in one week 42 yards and the week before the week before he had 29

yards are you just coming up with that because I'm pretty sure I'm looking at Google oh this is why I have multiple screens all around me I'm surrounded by screen double check that because I'm pretty sure how many touchdowns did he have two weeks ago because un fancy he still got you some quite some good points uh none he had 10 points because he had six catches for 42 yards so 10.2 points if you're in fantasy it depends if it's a PPR or not oh I'm assuming it is St nowadays it's 100% true is it 100% some people don't like the pee listen some people call me the space cowboy some call me the gangster of love some people call me

together that hurts because it's true I know it is that's the sad part ah Dallas had seven sacks on the game this was this was just a slacking that everyone saw shellac shellacking yeah 10 and a half points spread was it enough

apparently no all right next up we got the Steelers at the Browns another divisional rivalry here um very defensive game so much so that the Steelers Lally only had 65 yards of offense in the first half Insanity uh basically just the difference in the game was the last minute field goal for the Browns Kenny pick it on the day 15 of 28 um which what what did I put here 106 yards I put a dash here randomly Jaylen Warren the running back at nine carries for 129 yards and a touchdown uh on the Browns there Dorian Thompson Robinson 24 of 43 165 yards interception Elijah Moore six catches 60 yards David nooku seven catches 56 yards miles Garrett two sacks and Deshawn Watson five massages five massages Perfect all all different women for no reason listen the Steelers did exactly pretty much what the record well that with the record shows but what that their play has played yeah they're not that good of a team the Browns them they keep winning well not this week they they're uh they might be able to play off contention right now because of this game and the Browns are back in that playoff talk uh that's kind of scary but yeah you're not wrong in that but I mean even still the the Steelers are3 the Steelers are literally one of the least talented franches right now in the NFL and just coaching keeps them in keeps it close maybe this was a close game Kenny pickets terrible Naji Harris has not played well nope like this offense can't do can't put much up but this defense keeps him the games this Browns offense is also not good but their defense is Elite yeah for this year I said potentially the best in the League this year is that good yeah all right you the scary thing is I I'll get this set okay I did see that they had it was 186 points that they've given up all year long think about 11 games in that's pretty damn good yeah you're looking at less yeah less than 18 points so you're looking probably like 15 yeah exactly it's crazy all right up next you got the Bears going to Detroit playing the Lions Lions squeak this one out that's not to say the Bears were not in this game the Bears that kind of signifies that they squeaked it death that they were in it well yeah the Bears were in this game that's what I'm trying to get out here they struggled early on but they had a lead at 26 to 14 and then they kept the lead about three minutes left of this game GF GF was lack Lester in the first half and he Lally he threw majority of his passing yards in that fourth quarter majority in the second half but a lot of them in that fourth quarter I think he was 120 yards in the fourth quarter which is insane for one in the membrane insane membrane like strong played that trumpet I'll hit that B break it off something soon I got to get my crops golf with three minutes left throws a touchdown making it 2621 to the Bears the Bears then go three and out Montgomery who I just picked up a fancy whoos to me was amazing on the lines final drive listen about to what be about $ thousand doll so there you go Kudos uh remind me to remind you by the buy meac coffee.com two giant goofballs the first time want to P the long time I also put a lot of money out this year sadly anyway so DAV MC was amazing and uh the Lions final drive and they went for the lead change uh he got the lead change touchdown Bears got the ball back with 30 seconds and Hutson sacks Justin Fields who fumbles the ball ends up getting battered around the players until the ball gets battered around until the players go out of uh the back of the end zone for a safety well the the ball went out the back of the end zone not the players well I mean they all kind of went out there you gota celebrate Cate

stutter at eight catches 77 yards one touchdown Gibs a 36 rushing yards 59 receiving yards one rushing touchdown yeah that was probably the game with week honestly it was it was fun to watch but it was hard to watch because Giants yeah we yeah we had a lot of watch a lot of replays I I think we' kind of like taken for granted how many four o'clock games and Sunday night games and Monday night games it's like I hate playing those games because you know it's like all eyes are on us and the Giants don't typically do good when that happens but at the same point it's been nice we've been able to watch all the football games in the meantime yes we G to go back and replay boo replay there's only so much Red Zone you can watch but that game great game you have to get like a second screen going with the red zone while you're like watching the Giant game I sit there like a fat kid just watching on my phone watching the you know the Giants on the big screen Red

yeah oh it's my second screen sorry for not being a fancy pants I've seen your pants they're rather fancy they're B bedazzled just around the the rear [Laughter] end all righty next game up we got the Chargers at the Packers here was another a good game actually too the Chargers end up winning 20 uh sorry the Packers end up winning 23 to 20 uh the Chargers lost Joey Bosa in the game Packers lost Aaron Jones uh so some big injuries on both sides there was pretty much a good back and forth game go all the way through the route as Adonis chimes in with his thoughts oh yeah he was like Dad you sat Jordan love for Gino Smith what were you think thinking the whole time all day yesterday that's what he saiding but on the final drive Chargers rookie wide receiver Quinton Johnston dropped a very easy pass that would have given him open path to the end zone would have been a win for the Chargers there that's the kind of stuff that happens to this team on a consistent bases man they find ways this is why I keep saying they need a new coach there's something wrong in dear they find that team they do find a way to lose I mean I still think that Talent taking a TCU receiver in the first round is always a mistake I still think there's no reason why they should be losing you scary quitting Johnston when the giant some giant fans wanted us to take him some giant fans want to take him 183 yards in the season yeah wow again TCU don't take TCU wide receivers uh anyway players that did do well Justin Herbert 21 of 36 260 yards two touchdowns Keenan Allen 10 catch is 116 yards in a touchdown Jordan love 27 of 40 322 and two touchdowns Jaden Reed had an interesting game 46 rushing yards 46 receiving yards and a rushing touchdown uh Davian Wicks uh had three catches for 91 yards as well so fun game close game overall yeah another um exciting game that a lot of people probably didn't think was going to come out of anyone's mouth at the beginning was the Texans I thought well at the beginning of the year yes but yeah at the beginning of the year not not not now you know what at the beginning of the year I probably would have said it still be a good game though because we expected both these teams to be crap the battle of the crap the crap B then you get crap play as well yeah but you got poop against poop so it works out well there were some poop in this game but eily match poop poopy to poop it was it was there was some solid poops here

they had you got the Jacks going into Arizona play them Cardinals the Cardinals were up most of the first half but the Texans uh took it over and they didn't let the Cardinals uh they almost let the cardal come back but they just they didn't yeah they just stopped them in that final drive they just did it they just I don't know what it was didn't do it you I was watching this game you're like CJ Stout is Sting rookie records for a quarterback on this paase it's like is he going to hit that quote unquote wall wall yeah yeah like is he going to like stop and he threw three picks and you're like I think he's in that wall I think he had five in the year now I mean I think six I think that six he doubled what he had I think he had two last week one prior to that and he uh doubled it for year but he still turned around and was 27 of 37 336 yards with two touchdowns after those picks tank Dell has looked fantastic Fantastical Fantastical for a tiny little guy and what do we put him at I think he was like a 5'8 F he's 510 165 pounds according to the NFL but I'm pretty sure we talked about this guy going into the com M he was 5'8 I wonder where that name even came from because his actual name is Nathaniel oh oh uh it was the nicknames you're saying like how I know that yeah he's not a tank like tank is AB usually a really big guy uh listen Sherman tanks well Sherman tanks are bigger but some of those yeah so Sherman tanks are smaller yeah but they they're aggressive I'm just say but he's still I don't consider a guy6 65 PBS a tank no no but he sure was playing like one because he had eight catches 149 yards and a touchdown Nik talked about as far as what Quinton Johnson's doing for the year he's got 659 receiving yards so far in the season tank Dell yeah as about well tank just pretty much had what uh Quinton had all year in one game impressive small kid from a small school listen we talked about this uh coming into this year about these a lot of these small guys are they going to make it in the NFL there not any B guys or just we talked about Jaden Reed already at the Chargers and Packers game that's another rookie that is also little tiny little guy at that point there you got a that's looked good we'll talk about him a little later but like there's there's a lot of little guys are coming out there playing good football yeah I mean Jaden Reed now is 463 yards just receiving and he's done you know some rushing yards as well on top of that so yeah yeah it's been it's been it's been an interesting year with a lot of decent rookies um you know coming out as receivers there like that but Jaden Reed 511 187 yards he's he's another little guy too no um up next you got niik Collins it was seven for 65 not a little guy not a little guy Deon sary let's let's talk about him for a hot like he uh he's come out he's been playing very good ball this year and he was 22 of he was so so hot this year 22 of 112 yards every so often I just I just throw in the Hans on

models yeah I mean singles though yeah he's he's been a legit yeah he he's the you know the scary thing is second game in a row that he's had over 100

yards if but if you look at his year he's only doing 4.1 yards per average but the last couple of the last couple of uh you know games all of a sudden he's just he's finding his Groove like Stella over here I mean it's just like yeah pretty pretty fun to watch overall I me exactly I mean he's averaged over five yards per carry the last two weeks there um so you know that's definitely been taking a nice hit up on the yards for carry the last couple weeks there if he continues this and they got a good running game going that's gonna be a a fun thing for the other AFC South team to try to stop it I'll put it that way yeah I mean we could talk about that later on but yeah it's uh it's interesting because the Texans definitely are quite possibly the a playoff team this year oh yeah we did they might still win the division that's I was going to get there Jacksonville should win that division but I Jacksonville can't win against any team over 500 and they're one game out right now I'm pretty sure they beat the bills when they were about 500 barely oh guess what guess what next week beat him up with guess what next week is guess what next week is exactly the Jags and the Texans it's almost like we're segueing without having realize I really didn't look I had to look it up just now I where they play though it's in Jacksonville right it's in Texas ohon oh oh that's interesting that's right that's G be like the game of the week right there I mean you get yeah that's like some Alfredo Saucy right oh man oh my Alfredo but anyway to finish off this game you got KY Murray who is 20 of 30 100 214 yards one touchdown one interception and one rushan touchdown I think that Arizona knows what to do with Kyle M and he's staying there because at the beginning of the year some people talked about are they moving away from Kyle are they gonna stay with Kyler Kyler looks like he's going to be in Arizona car for a lot longer than people think because like he's played some two solid games the tail of the tape over here doesn't quite show it but he was in that game playing pretty Dar he's playing for his life basically right now because if he leaves Arizona no he's got his contract but he's got his money he's fine either way but if he doesn't keep this job I don't know that Kyler Murray is that guy that you're like you know we got to get Kyler Murray to be our starting quarterback a te would probably take that's kind of desperate and hope that you know they can do stuff with him you know kind of like the Bucks were this year with Baker Mayfield that kind of situation yeah but yeah he's he's he's in for interesting offseason if he doesn't get his butt and gear put it that way yeah I can see the Raiders picking him up GRE George yes off to the Bunny Ranch and all of a sudden they go sorry sorry son you're too young to come here with your py face boy
