thought uh so yeah so let's start with that news here first because that's the big news going around in Giants land here today so Tony paulen who's a reporter for sports GA I believe it's how it's pronounced uh but he's been been a a sports writer for a lot of different websites throughout the year including SI um also wrote for the Eagles and for the Giants at times um so might know a little about something going on with the Giants at that point he gave a whole list on people who might be out of a job basically at the end of the year and included in his report our offensive coordinator Mike Kafka and our defensive coordinator wink marale and it makes you wonder is the man grasping at straws does he know something is he just going well they sucks so yeah yeah it that kind of feels like a grasp I don't know how do you how do you say because the only part of this defense has been oh defense this team has been the defense and it's not like here's the thing you can't assume that that's on dble and not on wink for wanting out you're not wrong but I was going to say if you're going to talk about coordinators like we've talked about how the Special Teams coordinator needs to go I was surprised yeah where's t ma that list because I'm sorry t-mac's got to go at this point listen I respect the man he's done he's done a lot for this team for a lot of years but whatever reason it ain't working anymore he gotta go the only thing he really hang his hat on this year is he fixed the Scottish Hammer the Scott a hammer has been fixed very impressive that that has been so I will say this whoever fixed him can be the new special team coordinator because I have to imagine it was one of the it's like a punting coach or something that you know that did that it wasn't like uh you know T-Mac himself probably so uh you know it could have just been work on the Scott of shamers part we can't always give it to the coaches sometimes the player especially when it's an individual that you know doesn't need everybody around him to practice maybe he just put the work in yeah I'm just us to rubby and I just got to kick it down the field you could take away my punting but you can't take away my directional kicking yeah H but

yeah that that's where it boils down to now so it's like you know let's kind of attack this one by one here we we already mentioned tmac who was not in the article he should have been gone he should be in that article as being gone as far as I'm concerned I think just special teams doesn't get the blood pumping for people let's be honest like there's some Giants podcasts even that don't even touch special teams they don't want unless thing really goes extremely wrong no one they don't talk about it because it's just it's not sexy it's not sexy but kickers let's let's let's let's be real here like you you score three touchdowns the other team scores three touchdowns you miss two of your extra points your extra kicks they're pretty easy to lay up even one guess what you lost the game or you don't or you go for it a fourth down because you don't trust your kicker to make it a 35 or 40 yard field goal like yeah it makes a difference in the game well here's a good one for you to I mean granted this didn't make a difference in the game but I'm trying to relay recent giant history here in this last week how many times we get pinned within like the five yard line to start the game don't tell me that doesn't affect I mean granted one of it was a fourth down conver you know that conversion that failed yeah but they were very good about pinning us deep within our own side of the field yeah and that will not get any notice because of the fact that they destroyed us royally but if that had been a close game that be something you'd go back on and go look they did a really good job of this early in the game at that point that could have been a deciding factor yeah all right so J get a Touchback you start off the 25 that that's what we'll call the start line at as special teams that's and if you get anything within that you're doing good yeah if you pin Zone back within 10 yards or we even say the red zone of the other side yeah if you will you're doing good black like righted and black now like if you kick it back there and you don't have the right players to stop the Personnel that's not call a safe catch and they run it back for 30 yards that puts them in way better field position oh yeah oh yeah and all falls on special teams like I said it's not a sexy thing to talk about but we're gonna talk about it cuz Rob and I aren't sexy anyway what the hell sorry Rob oh yeah oh listen Who Am I who am I kidding we're sexy and we know

it um but yeah let's let's talk about the two they talked about so first off Mike Kafka we've already been talking about it we think you know and I'm cppy if I'm wrong I think you agree with me I know I said at Point Blank that I think he's going at the end of the year this offense has been crap all year long and you can say about the injury and I don't disagree the injuries were a part of it a part of it but when you're scoring historically low numbers like top 10 worst ever in the NFL history you can't you can't stick around I yeah I there's a lot of blame to push around here and as the season goes on I'm more on the badwagon that kfka will not be here next year but it's also hard to say like that guy almost got a head coach job last year that's the scary part that's the scary part so do they chalk it up and like all right listen you had a great year you took lack lust of talent and you got to win a playoff game we'll give you one more year after this historically terrible terrible year with more Talent yeah and do you fire the offensive line coach because let's let's be real that a lot of the woses that we've had has come because of very bad play on that offensive line I think you have to I think you have to so I looked it up to verify real quick for us we're at 11.8 points per game that's where we're at right now okay the lowest ever is 7.4 in the 1977 Buccaneers so we're not the lowest we're not anywhere near the lowest like that but let's see one two three we still have plenty of weeks

we be tied for the 21st worst offense if this ever if the if the NFL ended the NFL season ended right

now like I said this is historically low when you're in the top 25 lowest worst offense in the history of the sword you're doing something wrong folks not just wrong terribly wrong because if this is the other way we're talking about how fantastic this team was playing Fantastical Fantastical so let's talk about how terrible so this is the this is on Pace to be the worst offense we have seen in this league since 2009 when the St Louis Rams were 10.9 points a game that's how bad it is folks it's almost 15 years this is the worst offense in almost 15 years I Haven make f that team so much that's not good folks not good at all and again we got the injuries we got the quarterback issue obviously that's that's goes without saying like I'm not trying to take that away I'm not expecting the greatest show on Turf but I expect an NFL offense this is not an NFL offense no I think there no there's no reason we can't expect this team even without these guys here like without without having Daniel Jones without having tyod Taylor games take away that second half against Arizona yeah the Giants like last week was what the mostly scored all 17 points 17 points second most second most get except for that Arizona game you mentioned I mean that's that's yeah absolutely goddamn pathetic and I'm telling you right now that if it stays his way he should go you are historically bad I'm not expecting you to be historically good but I'm expecting 20 points a game 18 points a game that's not asking that

much you know and you know with that I think a lot of the uh a lot of the position coaches need to go Bobby Johnson's number one on my list Bobby Johnson needs to go he never should have been hired to begin with I called it when he got hired tied he was not a good offensive line coach in Buffalo who did Buffalo who did Buffalo ever go ahead and develop as an offensive lineman that turned out great with him I couldn't name you one

no Buffalo wasn't good because their offensive line Buffalo was good because their quarterback who outran people that got past the offensive line yeah a lot of people forget because like the past couple years Allan has has been in the pocket more than he has

ran and I think maybe you know DJ randmore one because bad offensive line play and like d like our team already had the knoow if you will because they've seen it already for a few years in Buffalo yeah I mean it's it's just bad I mean I I'm not going to call for anybody else's head specifically it's hard to call for the quarterback coach head for example because you know what he have to work with it's hard to call for you know the the um receivers coach's head because I can't say the receiver's doing a bad job when the quarterback came and get the ball out of his hands you know I I but at the very least Mike Kafka needs to go at the very least Bobby Johnson needs to go and I I do think we talked about a little yesterday but I do think that in the end Ken dorsy is gonna get a look at least a look because of the Friendship because the relationship he has with Brian dable because they worked well together in the past at that point um 100% so whether or not he's the answer we'll find out but listen I don't care how bad Buffalo looked lately looked a hell of a lot better than us guys better than us hell of a lot better than us I'm not sitting here saying this man walks in the water but I'm I'm saying he doesn't drown either VC knows how to do the the doggy paddle exactly he knows how to swim so now as far as wink I kind of alluded to it before but I wonder if part of this is Wink wanting out I mean keep in mind wink didn't have any link to these guys beforehand there was no Brian dable wink connection there was no Joe Shane wink marale connection the only connection they had was went get the best defensive coordinator that we could get and they got win and I know a lot of this also is predicated on the fact that at the end of the game Brian dble seemed to have some words for wink didn't seem very happy um because let's be honest the defense couldn't stop anything

anything yeah I mean it's bad but people are also forgetting Trader Ray Leonard Williams in that game Ador Jackson was out in that day game Kon tiida was out aiz o gelari was just getting back at that point a lot of the the stars that we have of the few Stars we have on defense weren't in and that's the first time he's done that that's not like that's been the week in week out kind of thing at that point the Giants and and we also forget that that that the Cowboys have been steam lining a lot of these teams the past uh three weeks like Dak doesn't look like Dak normally I hear you still but the team the team is hot the team's been playing hot and now you're now they're so hot that that that team was playing H [Laughter] yeah then you take away no le like zul distracted he's like where was I again yeah but why

meos but you know you got Leonard gone you didn't have tibs you had a Dory Jackson out play l so you had some pretty solid Talent that's helped this defense play as well as it has all year not there yeah against a team on offense that's been producing against tough defenses and tough teams in general so was was it Wing's fault I'm gonna say no you know what I'm gonna Sidetrack us for a second I just realized something the Giants this point no the Giants continues at this point will be the second worst offense this

Millennium nice after who just that one I talked about the O it's it's um the Rams oh you know I'm sorry I missed one there's the yeah it's it will be the third worst they 06 yeah the 06 Raiders as well 10 and a half points that's how bad it is anyway with wink though like I said it hasn't been happening week in week I always said win in week out that's sounds like that sounds like adult film yeah uh but that that's not been week in week out that he's been doing that so I can't I can't blame win because of that you're allowed to have a bad game especially when you're dealing with injuries and issues like that and especially when let's be very Frank the fact that the defense hasn't fully given up is a goddamn Miracle unto itself 100% if I'm if I'm playing defense do I really think I have a shot in Hell of winning if I make that tackle if I sack that quarterback if I intercept that ball no I'm like okay we'll be back at the field in three plays anyway yeah let me rest up for the let me rest up for the rest of the game I still got another 40 minutes to play we got all excited for this three and out they're going to get cuz I intercepted the ball I mean it's just that's where we're at that's where we're at so personally and I don't want to speak for robs you can you can concur or diff differ if you want I would like to see Capone I'd like to see Bobby Johnson gone and I'll Trust the Giants to make the Right Moves with the rest of the guys on the roster as far as positional coaches on offense I do not want wink gone um but I will give you one caveat to that there is one guy who I have always talked about very highly on this team and if that's the guy they want instead of wink I'm all for it and that's Jerome Henderson our cor current uh defensive uh backs coach there who has never been a defensive quarter in the NFL but he's been coaching DB since 2007 so he'd be a first timer but you notice what's been the what's been the great things you know James Bradbery comes here has an all pro season that year pretty much I mean not quite all pro you know I mean he's a pro bowl caliber Corner Xavier mckin has has produced here I mean I don't think it's high as people necessarily expect it but he produced we've had a rolling uh you know roster of safeties alongside of him and none of them have really embarrassed at that point you know Ador Jackson comes here and has looked much like the Titans should not have let him go like they did you know Nick McLoud come here off the scrap peep look decent uh you know we got rookies coming in now stepping up this year Jerome Henderson is a guy that I'm telling you right now Giants fans if I had the chance to make the change and I felt like the change need to be made because there there's still things we don't know in this hard for us to give a full Final Answer really there stuff we don't know we're not East ruford but that's who I would look at at that point is Jerome Henderson the guy like I said former player been a coach pretty much you know for what almost 15 years now 16 yeah I mean it's it's that's the guy who has performed where he's went and deserves a shot at the defensive coordinator position if they go to make a change we'll see what they do but it also continues with some continuity with the position that hasn't been a problem because I think the issue is not with the Player Development on defense but I think it's the schemes that the Giants have an issue with you know the man-to-man combos they're doing at that point that are getting burnt because they have so many rookies back there playing Corner that's the issue they're having right now it's the high man coverage we leave the NFL in man coverage guess what guys that's wink that's what he does that's what got him canned for all intents and purposes in Baltimore we talked about it as if you know he was a free agent that wanted to go to the Giants he was a free agent technically that's because they agreed to part ways that's a nice way of saying we let you

go yeah pretty much that is the very professional NFL sportsmanship way to say and that's why is because the Ravens the last year were leading the NFL in big plays we talked about it going into there um you know they were having issues left and right because they had issues at the corner position and he didn't adjust that's still what he's doing so either you need to load up on man Corners to help this man out next year or you need to part ways and I'm okay with either one because I don't hate wink I don't dislike wink but you better get one a couple of man Corners that can cover I'm not talking about Dar Holmes I'm talking about Corners you know darney Holmes ain't cutting it guys never has never will you have banks that played pretty well as a rookie as a second as a second Corner because he's been getting Burton ever since he's put in the number one role but as a second Corner he's been good I'm just gonna give that caveat to

that touche def said and we talked about before every single Corner pretty much struggles as a rookie so I'm not trying to knock the kid I'm just saying we I don't fully know if he's a number one corner yet he's a legit corner of this league I'm still not so in him being number one and I won't until I see it so it's not a me I can't do he can't do it I don't want to call him that until he show he is that which is fair enough it is I think yeah so you're 11 games in yeah or whatever yeah it's it's it's fair enough like he's done well for what he was asked to do but he hasn't been the number one like a veteran you're right also for anybody wondering know this is not coffee with mayo it's coconut rum the Giants at Force to drink the Giants at force me to drink um so I mean are you on page with me Rob you have a different opinion I don't want to just make it seem like you're always on page with me because

weine I would like to give wink a little bit more of a shot yeah you just got this guy it's his second season it's been want a wink wink nudge him into the right spot I do want a hey wink wink nudge nudge let's give me a little bit more time here Kafka like I'm on the fence on but like listen at the end of the year someone's going to get blame for how bad this offense was which was the downfall of all of this like once again like the offense has been three and out offense has not been on the field granted like time of possession just because Barkley runs the ball runs the clock makes it look like a little bit more time the giants has had actually making plays which is not the case yep Jets is a perfect example of that one and your defense has to go out there and just play 40 minutes of football 45 minutes of football for they're yeah they're getting gas out they're getting tired causes more injuries because they're sitting there not healthy well not healthy but you're not you know you rest it you're going in there laying the game you're getting tired like there's a lot of things so like wink I would like to get another year cka it's another story like something's got to change in offense like without a doubt like if you don't get a CFA Johnson's gotta go if Johnson goes like then you you sit there and you're like maybe do give C Bobby Johnson's gone no matter what let me be very clear on that he's number one on my list of people to go yeah me too I've been talking about that for almost a month now we've been talking we've been talking about that last year even I feel like yeah open check for Mike Munk open check for Mike Munch so you get rid of him do you give CF gun of the year I'm not 100% against it I'm saying I'm rooing for but like I'm not so I'm not solds you get you turn around you get him more Talent better offensive line coach they already say the QB you want in this draft does he make the change to be a better

coordinator yeah I just to me like I said I I can't get past what we're doing this year like I said I'm not expecting amazing you see that because we're still in this year you go to next year and he starts off eight and two you like oh my God what was I thinking last year how go two and eight but if he starts off two and eight then you be like look at me I'm right how funny is it that we're having this conversation when both wink marale and Mike CFA were like leading head coach candidates that almost got a job multiple spots you know like yeah whether it was indie or Arizona Houston I I it's it's it's crazy how these guys were like we're and we were so happy to get them both back and then it's like maybe we we made the wrong decision maybe um but I mean that's again we'll have to see what happens there but it's it's crazy that that's where we're at at this point in the season but considering the record yeah it's not it's not at all um all right let's go to some of the comments here real quick and then we'll start talking about the game coming up here because I guess we have to watch that too yeah another loss I mean who said that what uh Deb says does the offensive coordinator decide whether to keep for instance a line coach or other decisions on the head coach so those decisions are actually even above the head coach say yeah it's it's it's yeah that's up to Joe Shane and and John Mera and you know I mean it depends on who you want to let make that call because in the end John Mera writes the checks you know along with Steve Tish those are the guys who are the final final saying anything it depends on what agreement they have with Joe Shane Joe Shane could very well have gone in saying I'm making these calls I'm I'm gonna be the guy doing that or else I don't take the job and I hope he did for his sake yeah because listen you can't if you want to be the GM you're supposed to make all the executive decisions on that team that's what the owners hire you to do because the owners don't know football like they know how to write Jacks yeah looking at you Jerry Jones um so you go in there and he gets a decisions and if Jerry Jones like you said perfect example he's the guy who goes no you keep dacking you pay him another $10 million a year and head coaches got fired over this and past that again head coach has a say as well and it depends on the relationship he has with the general manager whether or not he gets the Final Call On Letting coaches go that are under him as well so like I said in the end who makes that final call depends on the team and depends on the setup that team has and no team will tell you that setup except for the Cowboys because Jerry Jones makes all decisions um because in the end you want to make it seem like a unified front if I had to make my guess I would say it will be Brian D's call and then Joe Shane will go along whatever Brian D wants and that John maror will go along with everything Joe Shane wants but it will definitely run up the ladder I think it's gonna be 5050 I like I think I think I think I just think that Shane and dable have that relationship where they do but like Jane might be like hey look at Johnson you see the answer look sexual

C you off there see all right Jaylen Hy concussion did not practice on Wednesday limited practice participant today uh history tells us that he's not going to play because concussion people typically miss a week Ador Jackson concussion did not practice both days again probably won't play Dexter Lawrence did not practice um yesterday full participant today that was just injury I said no just the rest not injury related no worries there Evan Neil with the ankle injury did not practice the first two practices here so guess what probably won't see him uh Bob o car did not practice Wednesday limited participant on Thursday so you got to think 50-50 get that point there it's getting better but you're not going to risk hurting Bobo car for the whole season he pretty much is the you know one of the lone people you expect to still be trying and doing very well he's going for the record though maybe he wants the as the record who knows um Kon Tibido concussion did not practice yesterday limited participant today again broken record concussion people don't play for a week usually uh Deontay Banks ankle injury limited participant both days I do expect him um sequan Barkley ankle injury limited participant both days again I expect him uh Tommy Devo left shoulder limited participant yesterday full participant today should be good to go Cordell flat shoulder limited participating yesterday and today should be good to go there Xavier mckin limited participant yesterday full participant today with a rib injury should be good to go Jason pinck thumb and ankle injury he's just getting all kinds of fun here limited participant yesterday full participant today should be good to go there um you got Wale Robinson with the knee limited participant both days Andrew Thomas with his knee same thing limited participant both days again I expect those guys to be good to go uh but if they get tweaked or hurt at all during this week they'll be gone uh Dion Jackson concussion full participant both days who knows who cares he's a bum oh like it is I'm call like it is I can't help it I no's gonna go oh no we don't have Dion John gon Jackson in the game I always got his name wrong I mean it's like who is this guy who is this guy like who are you it's like he'd be a seven string running back anywhere else we don't care I'm being mean now I'm being mean this is what happens when I coconut rum I'm a mean coconut rum guy um then we got aiz o jalari who had no designation yesterday but was a limited participant today with the ankle um I I expect him to play honestly I I think he'll just be on a count probably if it's still acting up which is right to do at that point um next up the Washington commanders which is about like onethird of the list that we have here so sad uh Alex Arma the fullback hamstring injury did not practice the first two days here so don't expect him Antonio Gibson the running back toe injury did not practice both days again don't expect him defensive end what he's also like the third string over there he's a third down back still for them he still counts yeah he's he's no he's no Dion Jackson but I

meanon yeah not neon Dion no uh defensive end James Smith Williams hamstring injury did not practice both days so again don't expect him uh Benjamin St juice illness there did not practice Wednesday was a full participant today so I fully expect him to go um Curtis Samuel toe injury limited participant both days I expect him to be fully good to go uh and then Tyler Larson ended up on the um injury report only because they gave him a rest date today so no issues there he will be a full participant ready to go there so yeah I was actually took me less time than I expected we're only 37 minutes here just about so it took me five minutes just to go down the list of people that are injured mostly for the Giants that's how bad that's I'm including the guys that are on the DL on the D the DL yeah yeah actually DL yeah I are call it the DL they're on the DL um the down low the download the disabled list other sports call it that why not the football too what the hell let's go for [Laughter] it all righty let's go into the offense here what we got to do on offense here because like I said guys this is one of the few games we actually have a shot scary to hear yeah if you're on offense this team needs to listen to Pink hold on before we go to that the

D defense so the big thing for me is we're gonna have Kavon out of the game save wink his job We're not gonna have cave on this game zizo jalari has been coming back injury I expect him to be at a pitch count as well just coming in during specific you know obvious passing downs and things like that what I need I need some big sexy Dex because I need I need I need him to take over this game because if we have any shock guys of winning this game with this putrid offense we have have to shut down the the the offense for the uh the commanders there and a lot of that is getting into the quarterback and causing chaos we've talked already about how bad they were and they've gotten a little better and stuff but it's still not a good offensive line guys like this is not the 90s Cowboys were playing Nate Newton is not coming out the tunnel like this is not what we're facing so Dexter Lawrence needs to absolutely take control of this game whether it's in the pass or in the run the Giants pass rush has to have a good day because if they don't without a Dory Jackson having Deontay banks on the man the myth the legend Scary Terry that's a good receiver for him we've seen what happens to good receivers with lately the last couple weeks with him the pass rush has to be effective has to get to the quarterback quickly and it has to do its thing yeah listen you don't have to get eight sacks against how here you can just you Canad I won't be mad if yeah constantly put him under pressure which will help the second part of what we need is our rookies step up in that back fields we need good quarterback play coming down on me com down whoa whoa that's not the words at all what song are you listening to Under Pressure coming down on you what Under Pressure what if you're under pressure what does it do to you I don't know I don't want to be under that kind of pressure oh listen Mr uh Mr Fred would love that Mr Mercury Freddy Mercury yes wasn't that both him and David Bowie I think though right yes I thought so good combo all right yes but yes their secondary has to step up with good pass rush play getting to the quarterback getting him under pressure let's get our let's start this all over again this is the string of thoughts that doesn't end it just goes on and on again but I mean here's Rook guys to step up and like they don't need to get picks which would be fantastic Fantastical but they also need to keep the ball out of scary Terry and some other of their receivers down there see the big thing for me I think is that they need to just prevent the big place yeah I don't need you to shut down Scary Terry I don't need you to shut down Curtis Samuel what I need you to do is stop the 50 yard bomb to Johan doson and keep Scary Terry within check like he's gonna get his yard let him get 50 yard or so I don't care but if he goes for 100 120 yards we're done we're done 100% right there so you know you expect a guy like him to get some yards though because he's a good player but you gotta keep him in check and you gota is the big guy that I just I can't have him with 50 yard bombs because he's their big deep threat it cannot have the Deep threats imagine if Scary Terry was like on Kansas City or team like that oh my God quarterback you know he reminds me of like the poor man's version of dehop remember and dehop was on the Texans in his prime it's like how much of that man's Prime was wasted with shitty quarterbacks most of his career I'm saying think about that how scary how good he was with such horrendous horrendous quarterbacks for so long I mean it's it's absolutely blowing he did have didn't he have Watson for his uh some of his best years well not Randy Watson DeShawn you big silly grit R he wasn't the best no flag oh damn sorry watch game live like 2015 who was their who was their coach let's see who's their their quarterback let's see Brian Hoyer was the starting QB Brian Hoyer let that sink in for okay DeAndre hop DeAndre Hopkins 1521 yards 111 catches 11 touch Downs That

here alrighty so I already have two final thoughts myself the first one is and I've kind of already talked about when we talked about the offense but it really applies overall the Giants are not the better team this week they'll probably not be the better team see so what that means is the Giants need to play close to perfect to win don't turn the ball over don't have stupid penalties don't allow big plays the very simple Basics the rudimentary things and hope that the command for the thir quarterback to go ahead and allow us to be the ones that you know win because of somebody else's mistakes now I will say this as well I'm so torn on who I I I'm rooting for overall because I want the Giants to win because they're the Giants but I want the Giants to lose because I want the quarterback

it's it's really like I'm for some mixed on this I really am it's it's like part of me is like no matter who scores I'm like Yay boo yay boo it's like how do you how do you even take this at this point because any win we get right now hurts our draft stock play Fantasy Football roof for your players we're at that's where I'm at I think the nice thing is in the end is that no matter what happens there's so many good quarterbacks coming out this year that we get a quarterback and how many times is the one that's picked first or second the one that's the bust I mean it happens quite often when did CJ stru go second when did when did when did Bryce young go I'm just saying he said first or second and I'm saying the second s rookie um Ryan Le records Ryan LEF just just say it was a bad just saying was bad time to bring up the second Mariota bad time bring up the second one the second s rookie records this year Killy Smith which if we drafted today we' be drafted second which would be the second quack we can go through so many people that have busted as quarterbacks yes so there's more bust at quarterbacks or any player in the draft and players that actually were successful you're right Kudos is Dre he did brilliant matth there I'm just saying it's it's it's not a guarantee that you get the first or second pick and you get the good quarterback no but you have the opportunity to pick the player you think would play best for your I know that's part of the problems I don't know if I actually even trust the Giants at this point to pick the right
