welcome to two giant goofballs a New York Giants podcast are you a goofball that loves Giants football if so sit back and relax as we talk about the team that both excites and frustrates us so much and now here are your goofball hosts Drew and Rob welcome fellow goofballs to two giant goofballs New York Giants podcast I am Drew joined as always by am me let's talk about our game on Monday night football against the fictional Birds the Seattle Seahawks the Seattle offs spray it's not an offs spray it's not an offs spray it's it's some totem pole bur that doesn't even exist Google what is a Seahawk okay I don't have to because I know there's no such thing there's no such thing as a Seahawk telling you have you done this before probably okay it comes up it comes up for an ospre immediately because there is no Seahawk yeah because ospray is the only hawk that flies over a body of water yeah they're given the nickname but there's no such thing okay it's just it's it's it's preposterousness okay I want real animals to have this a three pound Bird yeah three pound bird bad as the bad as the Cardinals just about I I spray are legit though they can they can mess some things up all right let's let's get into the game here because we naal Geographics yes if it was i' have my shirt

[Music] off so we have this year again the Seattle Seahawks and you guys will probably you know remember we played them last year so this is a team we're pretty familiar with overall we've had some experience with these guys uh you know in the past there not too long ago in fact less than a year ago was week eight last year right before Halloween so um you know more towards the middle of the Season at that point there uh so before we get into the game itself here of course it's time guys to go over the injury report and it's a long one it's a long one for both

teams yes oh yes the angel the ambulance the ambulance so first up the big one everybody wants to talk about all we sequan Barkley limited to practice but it did practice today he's been called a day-to-day decision by Brian dable which is pretty much a uh I'm not giving you a damn thing ignore the question kind of answer so Monday at the absolute last minute yeah they'll they'll know then but I I did see a shot that Jordan ronon posted at practice today of him cutting and he did actually move he didn't seem to be any you know pain I wouldn't say he ran extremely fast but again it was a practice it wasn't a you know full speed necessarily drill either so the big thing with the high ankle sprains and ankle sprains that once there's still some you know debate which one he has um you know that's one of those things that even when you heal up you still deal with pain for a few weeks with it and some people have tolerance to deal with that some people do not a lot of Adil whiskey and taping it up oh I must have a high ankle sprain as well because I have a lot of whiskey at least um so Ben bredeson full participant in practice should be good to go um keep in mind he was concussion protocol so the fact that he's a full participant means he's already passed everything to come back from that so uh Andrew Thomas that's another one of the big names here Limited in practice should be good to go barring any kind of setback from everything I'm reading here uh Evan Neil not even on the injury report we I only included him him because we did see him obviously hobbling towards the end of the game against the 49ers there and he was pulled out towards the very end as well as a precaution not on the injury board so Evan Neil full participant so offensive line should be back to full strength guys that's huge that's absolutely goddamn huge um Deontay Banks obviously also got injured in the 49er game there as well good to go not even listed on the injury report aizo gelari which I get a comment on this in a second here but aiz o gelari limited participant should be good to go uh nothing finalized with kind of be know much closer to the game itself but I gotta I I gotta talk about Z real quick here because I'm seeing a lot of John giant content creators and a lot of Giants fans overall bashing this man to no end for not being healthy I want to remind people something here giraff Knight when we drafted him why did he drop oh because he was injured from so don't draft a guy that you everybody has injury concerns with and then be pissed off he can't play this is what he is don't be mad if he had one leg and you drafts him and he Stills one leg exactly like he would have been a first round pick no issue no qualms about it if he didn't have the injury concerns people found in his in his you know Medicals so don't be surprised when you get a guy because of injuries and he gets injured shocker yeah go figure absolute shocker go figure it's like what' you expect so I just to me it's just it's crazy to me how many fans turning on him quickly listen I want to see him play too we need him he was a freaking beast when he's on the field last year we need him that changes our whole out look of the defense if he plays this year like he did last year in the limited games he played last year yes I say The Limited set about he is what he is he's a hell of a good talent I want to say hell of a good player yet but he's a hell of a good talent from what we've seen and has the potential to do some very special things when he's healthy but he's going to get injured that's why we got him so stop getting on the man's back stop talking about drafting his replacement all blah blah blah blah he's a giant support the giant we can talk about how we don't like certain plays we can talk about this and that and that kind of stuff we do it all the time here on this show but don't act like the guy's in trying be in the field he's trying to be you think he wants to sit on the sidelines listen he sits on the sidelines he's not gonna get a big payday so exactly at a very lucrative position he plays by the way yeah very lucrative so yeah I just to me the the bashing of his EO jari is just crazy all right onto a fan favor Daniel Bellinger a limited participant with a neck injury uh I I think that's more of a precaution anything else because you haven't even seen him being affected in the games uh DJ Davidson limited participant with an elbow injury as well all right on to the list for the Seahawks which oh my God guys you thought we had a lot of injuries yeah we are healthy compared to the Seahawks so keep in mind Abraham Lucas they're uh one of starting tackles is already out right now on the IR so that's right off the bat one of their offensive line been gone one down many to go so these they didn't now what's weird is the Seahawks even on their own website did not list an official injury report which I thought was weird I thought they're legally required by bylaws to do it today because most teams it's Wednesday for us in the Seahawks is Thursday because of Monday Night Football they didn't release anybody so what I did find is one of the Seahawks reporters gave a list of who it did and did not participate the practice so yeah I'm going based on that I'm curious if there's a fine coming or if there's some kind of loophole I'm una aware of because we all know every NFL rule has loopholes left and right it's true so I'm I'm not going to pretend that they broke a rule and should get fined I don't I'm not a legal expert enough to know on the exact on the rules but I could have swore today they had to release the same as a Giants released one today um so at least according to the reporter that I saw um well I should have probably wrote the name down of I didn't but I'm going to say it wasn't us yeah at least we're not taking the credit for his work even though Seahawks at least we should should have G him the credit for the work but you know um so rake Wen uh the seconde corner did not practice tight end will deasley uh did also not practice um uh oh hold on I'm on the wrong list here I'm getting the last week's wow Happ I don't read my own damn notes this is last week because I want to give you this because this at least gives you a better idea since the Seahawks didn't give so riek Wen the quarterback tight end will deasley quarterback SL safety Kobe Bryant not that Kobe Bryant and left tackle Charles cross all missed last week's game so they're all battling injuries their offensive line is decimated makes ours look healthy even last week at one point they only had one of their starting offensive lineman on the field yep yeah that's bad now I will say that Gino still threw fora 300 yards so it doesn't make Daniel Jones look very good when I see that but I was saying doesn't mean their offense will do nothing their offense still put up some points last week um so here's the here's the the practice and what happened here so did not practice this week Charles cross tow injury this say tackle we talked about the miss last week wide receiver DK meaf the rib injury guard Phil Haynes with a calf injury cornerback uh Trey Brown concussion protocol quarterback safety Kobe Bryant again not that Kobe toe injury uh defense and dermont Jones H injury safety quandre digs hamstring nose tackle jiren Reed quad please let him not play this one person I'm I'm want not W to see it's him uh linebacker aenna nosu Archilles linebacker Daryl Taylor Shin injury Limited in practice tight end will deasley shoulder um a guy you guys may have heard of safety Julian love hamstring uh cornerback Arty Burns hamstring full participants Jamal Adams with coming back off his knee injury from last year is expected to make his season debut he has not played since week one of last year also expected a play as reek Woolen coming off that chest injury where he was hurt last year but offensive line secondary really really decimated by injuries we need to take advantage of that here 100% even if these guys play not all of them are probably going to play and the ones that do 80 90% of what they usually are is still better than facing 100% that's for sure so let's also give a little bit of a recap here to what happened in October I think it's so close to what happened you know to this year here we should give it kind of a little recap here so Seattle Seahawks did beat the Giants in Seattle 27- 13 Daniel Jones was 17- 31 176 yards uh got his average last year yeah uh saquan Barkley 20 rushes 53 yards and a touchdown now yeah not a very good rushing game there Darius s he was also that was also like right around the Tom he H's rib and they kind of figur out how to stop him they were the first team to kind of slow us down exactly partially because the injuries which I got a list here of the injury part as well I do think that's part of it there um you also got Darius Slayton was the leading receiver five catches 66 yards we were missed not to mention the the The Legend of Richie James in this game Who of course fumbled two different punt returns which led to 10 points for the Seattle Seahawks also LED of course to two Mis drives that the offense could have had otherwise um you he's vilified probably a little more than he should be to be honest with that because it was very frustrating at the time but if you remember Tyler Lockett also had a fumble that got us a touchdown as well so if you go by the fumbles we really only had three-point differential we lost by more than three points but it's just really frustrating to see a guy have two different fumbles on putt returns there and Jackson got hurt because he kept fumbling well exactly that was the next week he got hurt yes yes Dory Jackson started doing punt returns because he was Butterfingers um out for that game was Daniel Bellinger Evan Neil this what I was talking about as far as the running game this is part of why they were having issues remember this is the first game Evan Neil missed after getting poked in the eye against the Jaguars yep and Evan Neil got hurt in that same game as well also out for the game but no one even realized was Kenny gal and um well I mean he was only started one game last year no started more than one I wish he was only one uh Cordell flat and Oceane zimz also were out now on the Seahawks side Gino went 23 of 34 212 yards two touchdown Kenneth Walker II which going hear a lot of people talking about him all week long 18 carries 51 yards and a touchdown Tyra Lockett had five catches 63 yards and a touchdown no major injuries for the Seahawks in that game the one person who was kind of weren sure if he to play or not is DK meaf who ended up playing after all yeah he's one of those guys that's always questionable oh yeah oh yeah actually I got my fanasy update he's questionable for this week he is so they may have released the stats since we've talked no I I I looked like like an hour ago wasn't there I was about to say I got that like 20 minutes ago so I wonder if they actually release the report we can look we can look and see if it's live here at this point we're checking it live for all you there live September 2 nope the Seahawks still have a blank injury report but the Seahawks Paige put the Giants one up that's nice though oh yeah anyway um the game was a lot closer than people remember because I think a lot of the frustration boils down to those Richie James um fumbles and the lack of running game we were tied 13313 going into the fourth quarter Seattle though got two touchdowns in the last 10 minutes including one of the touchdown off of one of the Richie James f fumbles um with the Kenneth Walker the third run so again we had a good amount of injuries see as we had last week we were pretty close in and just at the very end just could not do it couldn't could not keep up with that offense there um so let's get into what to expect as far as this game keys and pointers before we do that though let's get some of the comments here we got Joe Tisdale in the his house again he's becoming a regular again who's a more of podcast listener but now we're seeing him everywhere in the videos love it man good to see you man he says what's up gfam the reason why I'm thinking Monday night is close to a must- win is because I have a feeling we'll be fighting for a wild card spot and I'm willing to bet Seattle will be too uh yeah that's honestly a decent safe bet to say we'll definitely be both in the running there yeah um he also say if we can get the win this week it might just change the momentum of our season not feeling too confident going against Miami and buffalo both in the road and one in another Prime Time game Prime Times a he says whoever made the schedule this year hates the Giants I who whoever made it gets diarrhea and shits his pants next time he sneezes to his office so all right okay now for the record Joe has been very mild mannered every single comment until that love it Joe let your real self lie man go for it uh leave the diary inside yeah exactly there's no one pooped their pants we're good uh here's the thing though in the end the schedule I think people to make too much about the schedule because yes we're going through a tough stretch but we're GNA have to go through an easy stretch at some point as well that means it counter effects that's life we'll be fine uh John says Joe yes Buffalo Miami will be crazy shake my head remember he says remember J shake my head don't smack your head LOL let your your your wife or a to that rolling on the floor laughing listen I I still think smack my head sounds a whole lot better I think it does because you're kind of like that you know what I mean instead of going I don't do that I go not home s don't it's all right think of John Luke Bard just doing these that's what it is yes all right let's stop mocking me and let's get to what happens when we're on offense

here Al righty this has the potential in my eyes to be the Breakout game for Daniel Jones and this passing offense it has the opportunity exactly opportunity is the key word the potential I'm not gonna guarantee it not going to guarantee as much as I'd love to but let's look at some of the quarterbacks and what they did last year oh last couple weeks against the same exact defense Andy Dalton last week remember Andy Dalton a couple years ago was the the measurement of mediocrity like he was where are you on Dalton scale well he's much older now and the Del in effect obviously not better so the question is is he even he's what below average a good backup yeah that's that's fair to say yeah so I think the big thing now is when you look at him blowing up the Seattle

Seahawks do we expect the same with Daniel Jones now because last week he had 361 yards and two touchdowns that's that's pretty much a lot yeah so before that Jared gof 323 yards three touchdowns it's amazing that J uh jerck go has been like a top performing quarterback in this league right now yeah he really has been and then you got Matt Stafford week W 334 yards so every single quarterback has put over 300 yards up against this defense so far I again a lot of that's due to injuries a lot of that is but the injuries are still there guys even if some of these guys come back they're not going to be back back back back like let's go full strength and stuff like that you know you they're still counting on some of these guys coming back like that um I I said to me it's got to be that game where this is when we get back to what we did against the Cardinals that second half it's got to be that kind of offense that this earlier than the second half yeah you can't wait till the third quarter you do that guys we're done we're toast and not like that yummy toast like a Brio roll like I'm talking like a Wonderbread toast like turns the cardboard real fast yeah I can go for some french toast right now it sounds pretty good right French toast excuse me Toast French toast sounds good I just I just actually had a had a poke bow before we started this well hello Mr Fancy Pants well listen Pokey is not fancy it's just like a sushi Bowl it's

good not that fancy better than my chef boy o d well yeah not much is not better than your Chef boy D think get peanut butter and jelly on the aforementioned Wonderbread is probably better than Chef boy OD yeah I would have to say so yeah see and I don't like yeah anyway s let's get to the keys of whether or not Daniel Jones can have this kind of Breakout game we're hoping for where he does the whole game good not just one half um the biggest thing is the Li's got to protect him the line has to protect him so he's we now we're facing a 40.2 quarterback pressure rate with 12 sacks taken on the year overall now keep in mind 30% is high for a pressure rate we're at 40 poor DJ has been looking like a deer in headlights yeah with the the bright are on yeah and then he does that little gazell dance to get out of the way and then gets clipped as he gets sacked something yeah something's got to give man though I mean like this the Seattle defense is given a lot of credit I'm hearing a lot of people say that this is a very good pass rushing defense but I'm not so sold on that personally myself they they're kind of like us in the fact that they've got a good Blitz rate and they get to the quarterback they notice they get the job done last week that they had three sacks 11 QB hits on the year they only have five sacks guys yeah they're uh mind when you play three games and ones against the Panthers the stats are a little bit slanted just a smidge just a smidge and I that's that's going to be kind of a theme we're going to kind of go into some of this stuff here because I do listen to what some other people people say coming into these games and what their thoughts are and I can't tell you how many people are just spouting out these stats for the season as if they didn't play one of the if not the crappiest team in all of NFL last week and let up 27 points against him yeah and correct me if I'm wrong that rookie quarterback did not play that game right no Andy Dalton did I'm saying Andy D was quarterback I just I just want to emphasize yeah now the one guy that scares me on their pass rush we talked about a minute ago during the uh you know the injury updates there is Deron Reed from who's their nose tackle um who's very good at getting pass rush up the middle uh JMS has a very good you know battle coming here on Monday night and I think he's up for the task and I think having uh you know having Ben bres next to him as well is going to help as well I do think what you'll probably see is them moving more to the right side with him though because Marcus mckian is going to be the starting Right Guard from everything reading here not Mar go winsky not Josh audo Marcus mckian and if I'm the Seahawks I am putting raid right over mcki in every single goddamn play you'd be foolish not to you would be he's the obvious week leing at the line so you know hopefully he get some help you know whether it be a you know a you know a tight end lined up as a fullback or you know an actual you know a running back they're sitting there on the right side to help him out but he's going to need some help that's for damore um another key though to the Giants breaking out offense this week is going to be utilizing some of these receivers we have especially slot receivers because not only have the Seahawks given up big games to some of these passers you seen a lot of individual wide receivers also put up some huge damn numbers it hasn't been they let's spread the ball out kind of offense against the Seahawks it's been kind of like okay they can't guard this guy keep throwing him last week Adam thielen 145 yards guys 145 yards that's what he averages in three games recently yeah that's that's that's I just want to you know show that stat because that's that's pretty impressive to give give up that many yards against a guy who my fantasy football bench but the Vikings thought he had nothing left he went 800 yards last year actually think I think it was less I think it was like 500 I think it was 800 the year before that so this is the guy they thought was done they're bringing him in you know on the uh you know the panther side just to be a veteran presence in that locker room there yeah okay so last couple years he had 716 726 925 418 yards that's his last four years with the Vikings this year so far you got 2 11 yards again 140 last week about it's pretty easy to do you got 141 game that's not like I said that's given up a lot to a guy that hasn't succeeded much now the week before I'm on Ross St Brown 102 yards that's that's a big game for him as B keep in mind he's one of the most underappreciated receivers in the entire league he's one of those guys that I I think doesn't get nearly enough credit but I think he's a receiver but still he's also Workhorse that plays for the Lions yeah well I'm saying he's he's one of those guys he goes in does his jobs he's a he's a lunch P kind of guy he just does his thing he's not flashy doesn't go out doesn't say anything crazy doesn't flash he picks up the ball gives it back to the ref and goes back to the line doesn't toot his own horn I'm the greatest yeah that's what I'm saying he's yeah he just goes to work oh yeah with you goes it's a shame because that like is what makes these people want to go ahead and do that because they need to do that to get that kind of respect apparently so um week week one puka Nua the legend of Puka NAA Begins the week one that's about I say week one 119 yards 2 two Atwell also had 119 yards against them now if you look at what these guys have in common most of these these guys are you know shorter routes slot receivers kind of players so what does that tell you Darren Waller Paris Campbell W Del Robinson Sterling Shepard we have those kind of players guys abundance of those kind of players we have the exact players this team has struggled covering now on top of that this is one of the worst teams in the NFL giving up explosive plays of 20 or more yards they gave up five of them against Andy dalson last week Andy Dalton the guy barely can throw for 20 yards and they gave up five of those so to me it's gonna have to be dink dink dunk and I mean by that for those who K listening instead of watching is not the usual Dink and dunk you're going to dink dink and then huge play down the field yeah you get defense start cheating up cheating up cheating up and then you're GNA throw it deep to Jaylen hayatt you're gonna throw it deep to Darius Slayton and I'm telling you right now one thing I'm gonna watch for very closely in this game because I've heard a lot of people complaining about it is they think that Daniel Jones is starting to get a little

gunshy31 so but let's take a look at what happened last year like we still played Dallas week one which he was the highest pressured quarterback and sacked quarterback he was still that guy that was getting beat up just a little bit more this year but he's still that guy he just gets up and does his job yep but how long does that keep going on before eventually that I mean that's anybody listen if you randomly smack me in the face for for a couple hours every every week eventually it's going to affect me well you call hike and then I smack you in the face and you don't block then yeah but I was saying but that's what's happening you can only take getting hits so many times before that happens but we also we also had the conversation like this last year and did it affect the play last year no if anything he played better towards the end of the year towards the end of the year exactly once he actually got some receivers and all but now he has the receivers and he can't get the ball to them you know some of the that is time but some of that is also him and we talked about this a lot postgame where I said what do you want him to do he has no time and against the 49ers and I still agree with that like I'm not trying to backtrack on that but at some point he's got to figure out how to do it well listen he's at the same point here we knew that the Cowboys defense is going to be tough and they top five defense we had to play them caral defense has play pretty well for the most part yes there are top 10 defense You could argue possibly definitely top tier and who we play last week a top three defense now we're going to a bottom tier defense I don't think you're G to see a deer in headlights see but that's the thing this is not considered a bottom tier defense it's not so it's a team that's given up a lot a lot of yards passing the ball but it's not considered that at all um if anything I would say they're considered above average but not great I I don't necessarily agree with that I was I was going to put him like somewhere like mid teens High Teens I guess you see medre yeah I would say I would say probably to me I'd say 10 to 15 that kind of range there is where most people would put them at but if you look at what they've done so far they give up 27 yards to the panther there's 31 yards to the Lions 30 yards to the Rams I don't agree with what the people are saying but I think think most people would put them there to me you got to put them in the 20s at this point because of how much points they keep getting up week after week that's what I'm saying it's not like it's not they're shutting down offenses like they they're getting pressure but they're not shutting them down so it's like they're they're bending and breaking yeah not the B but don't break a Bend end break like I said it's just it's it's weird because you hear a lot of people still giving them credit and I think part of that is because they have some players to people like like Bobby Wagner for example who's a guy that I I really hoping they figure out a way to put Darren Waller and him together at all times if you want to take Bobby Wagner who's just been a tackling beast and a tackling machine for it seems like 30 years now and he's again leading the Seahawks and tackles after his short you know his short loss over to the Rams and now back over to the Seahawks again but make him cover Darren Waller you want to take him out of the game make him do that because I'm telling you right now also he can't keep up with Darren Waller he can't no may move around and get that move him around get that match up so um you know one thing I really thought was kind of pointed about the the San Francisco game as well is we gave up again the Run Point Blank we gave up the run there was no more run yeah who was pass pass pass pass pass now when you do that what do you do to the defense you make their job hella easy I don't got to worry about you running the ball got to stop your next pass it's all I got to do it's all I got to do we can't give up on the run I don't care if saquon's playing or not because let's be very Frank if Sean's playing he's not full on sequan he's lower case as Squan even if you put an ex person in the back field and you don't run the ball but you have him run up the middle without the ball and do a play action you still have to respect the front and you don't have as much spies and safeties in the back to stop that pass the Deep pass I still want to see I still want to see some option plays with um with DJ running the ball if saquan can't run then that's fine we use sa use DJ to run the ball because if you let him go outside run the ball it's going to lead to one of two things either a decent run or the defense is going to move up to stop him and somebody else down the field is going to be open that he can throw the ball to before he hits that line of scrimmage which you do see when he does that he does look down the field he doesn't just run and go for it he's not Lamar Jackson no Lamar Jackson just runs and goes for let's be honest that's why Lamar Jackson gets so many yards you hurt how many rushing yards you get when you do What DJ does but it's better for the team it's better for you against getting injuries so yeah I want to see that more I want to see those kind of option plays where he rolls outside has the option to tuck the ball and run or toss the ball 15 yards down the field yeah that's what we need to see more of because if you make the team respect the run you made them a whole lot more one two-dimensional now instead of making them go onedimensional because they know you're not going to run the ball they know it yeah do you think anybody thought for a second they were gonna run the ball against the 49ers in the third or fourth quarter no no yeah no listen even if they got a good pass rush right so let DJ run the ball let them try to come inside try to put pressure and let him run out of the pocket because he's faster than all those guys I was about to say he's faster than all those guys and he's also he's probably in better shape you want to wear out this defense make them run over the Field chase trying to chase DJ down yeah just make sure you slide the right way I mean who do you think's a better Runner DJ or Reed oh DJ h saying you always like who's a better Runner DJ Eric Ray yeah this I'm saying this is how you do it now as much as we've talked about them being bad against the past this year which 100% the Seahawks have been again I'm still saying it's probably mostly because of the all the injuries they've had but they've been bad so far Seattle has shut down the Run game so far my sanders last week who remember had about what 12 almost 1300 yards last year with the Eagles granted with the Eagles much better offensive line than the Panthers but nine carries for 24 yards last week yeah we also knew he wasn't going to do well outside of the Eagles I I I will dispute that I actually think that mil Sanders is a good player I just don't think he's as good as he was last year

that's he looks good because they do the whole committee thing and then you got to worry about H running if they're going to throw the ball so it's a lot easier yeah I I'm not saying he's as good as last year I just think he's still not a bad running back not a great one he's just not a bad one he should have got more 2 yard more than 24 yards I agree but correct correct now the only running back in these three weeks it's had any kind of real mild success was um David Montgomery with the Lions week two he had uh 16 carries 67 yards again didn't light the world on fire but it wasn't a horrible game now week one against the Rams they average like you know two yards a carry but it's like again the Rams don't have a good running back this is what I talked about before about the stats are misleading because the stats will tell you based on who you played and you don't get that part of it if you just look at the blank and stats and that's it so like for example if you look at the know the game log right here for my sanders let's let's we we talked about him let's talk talk about what he did then he had 18 carries 70 yards against the 72 yards against the Falcons good game since then 14 carries 43 yards against the the uh Saints 3.1 yard average we already talked about the 2.7 yard average getting against Seahawks you know the Rams don't have a good running back if saquan is healthy this is by far the best running back this Seahawk defense has faced all year long by far yeah even if he's at 80% he's still a better running back exactly so like I said that's part of this here is they're a good running defense but we haven't really seen them go against a true test yet a true good running team yet so we'll have to see what they do here assuming saquan is healthy and everything there um you know one thing we really need to improve on offense from last week though is the third down we were three of 12 that's not going to cut it guys two out of three but three out of 12 that's just sad I would take two out of three in a heartbeat don't be said yeah it's got to it's got to improve guys and the last thing on the offensive side is this out of our control is how healthy are the Seahawks secondary going to be there because I think that's a big part of what the issues they've had you know is reek Woolen G to play again G to be fully healthy is Jamal Adams going to be a good player when he hasn't played in a year and four weeks now um you know yeah if you listen to Seahawks radio they talk a lot about him seeing how like he's gonna be great coming back like yeah haven't seen him in a year he also hasn't great when he was back yeah he's not a good player he's a good he he really should be a linebacker let's call it what it is Jamal Adams should be a linebacker what he is he's a good hitter he's great against the Run he creates pass Rush what does that sound like to you sounds like a linebacker exactly he's a linebacker guys he's a linebacker who's just too small to play the position so they move him to safety and you give up the fact that he cannot defend very well against the pass he just can't he's not a guy you want there covering guy like Darren Waller he's but he's yeah I mean yeah he's definitely smaller that's for Dam Shore um um he's 6'1 213 PBS if I'm the Seahawks I'd tell him put 10 pounds on moving you to linebacker yeah saying makes sense get some beef cake let's let's get let's get a couple more comments here see here we got John got a few things here he says which head LOL he says you can't get me Roberto stop reaching at the screen 3D I jump back then he says you're wife honey make make me some french toast thank you LOL meatloaf no I just meat meatloaf does not sound good but except there is one that that my wife makes I love it's a ranch on there it's a Ranch meatloaf with a Little Bit of Swiss cheese on top of it oh my God it's so good yeah that's really good uh John says that sounds like fun smack him Roberto don't Smack me don't why all right let's pay the bills and let's get on defense guys enjoying the show looking for more goofball action consider a membership at buy me a coffee.com two giant goofballs membership stock at just $5 and give you additional goofball access one time support payments also available starting at just $3 buy me a coffee.com two giant

go so defense is gonna be an interesting thing I think for us overall because it's a good offense guys as much we talked about this defense that the Seahawks has struggled to you know stop teams putting up points they're off offense has sure not struggled to put him up not at all not in the least so yeah we got we got we got our we got work cut out uh the Seahawks have put up 37 Points each of the last two weeks keep in mind that Giants have allowed at least 28 points each game so what does that tell you guys based on history of this season so far we're gonna have to the over yeah we're gonna have to put up some points here uh Gino Smith is thrown for over 295 yards each of the last two weeks uh in that time frame four touchdowns one interception 98.2 rating again keep in mind he played the Panthers in one of those games saying skewed little skewed um DK MEF went off last week we got to talk about their receivers because let's be honest I as much as Gino hasn't looked bad I still can't keep giving Gino credit as being a good quarterback and I really think a lot of this is the scheme he's in and the players he has around him because he has a sniky load of talent around him guys sniky load and it starts from the head down you got a great coach Sneaky Pete gotta get it in he's got what do you mean gotta get it in whoa whoa sneaky Peak gotta get it in sound very good doesn't sound very good at all why sneaky nope his name is Peter oh my

um yeah everything's around him for Success you know the offensive line hasn't been that good but he's got weapons everywhere he's got a good running back he's got a great coach at that point I mean everything else you could ask for um so the big three obviously at the wide receiver position DK MF um last week six catches 112 yards again against the Panthers I have to give that like Aster each time basically because it's against the Panthers um for the season 15 catches 234 yards and a touchdown so he basically did half of his total last week but still 60 65 yards that's what he does about most games if you look at his his career he's not the 1500 yard receiver he's the consistent 1100 yard receiver that's yeah he's like a 75 I would say was his average like some games he get games not even that though if you look at the numbers they DK overall on his career he's got here we go here's the stats 900 yards 1300 yards 900 yards th000 yards that puts him right out at 1,100 yards so I know it used to be 66 yards per game put it a th yards back and it 16 so now th yards 60 so that's what I'm saying like this is that's what he does that's what typically what he does he's on Pace right now um you got Tyler Lockett uh who was 13 catches on the season 103 yards and two touchdowns Jackson Smith nigba we've talked about him a lot in the draft I still think he was the best wide receiver coming out of that draft even though pukan nakua apparently looks like so far he is um but nine catches 57 yards so they have a pretty decent Trio of receivers Jackson Smith and JMA really hasn't taken over much as far as the games yet you know you figure that Bas not average getting about 20 yards a game and that's it but he's still getting a couple catches you know as a third receiver but Gino has been throwing the ball everywhere and that's been the fun if you watch this this Seahawks offense it's very much like throw the ball around you have no clue where it's going you better be deep in the secondary because there's a lot of spots I can go to um tight ends they have three different tight ends that they utilize on a regular basis all right all right now if they go Noah Fant nine catches 97 yards in the season Kobe Parkinson nine catches 87 yards will deasley who's actually their starting tit end but have the injuries five catches 52 yards so it's not just the wide receivers that they have a trio of are you smirking because I said all right all right for those who don't know Rob went through the notes and added some random things during it he put under the tight it's Matthew MCC so that's why that's why I said the all right already right just comment on Matthew mcc's Dair error no you said he a tight end you did I heard it he was a tight end I heard it all right anyway Taxas this is what they do they're spreading the ball around they got seven different guys that they could be throwing to basically any time period they have the three tight ends they have the three receivers and of course they have the big weapon that you're going to hear a lot about this week they running back Kenneth Walker III Esquire pink he's out yeah so as a receiver he's had 10 catches 73 yards but I should say again the aster comes into it 59 yards last week against the Panthers so in reality he's got 14 yards in this other two games because I'm hearing a ton of people talking about him as a pass catching rece running back all of a sudden he's so good NFL was very much what did you do last week that's what the NFL is like watch if we this game like Rob and I have already said in the prior show we think we're going to happen we're going to win you're not going to hear all the talk about the Giants being badle all season oh what you're gonna hear that we yeah they're gonna is it a fluke we gotta play Miami we gotta play the bills can the Giants do it are they a good team that's what you're going to hear yeah they'll call us the surging Giants that's what they'll say the surging Giants go into Miami to play the Dolphins now whereas if we lose they like oh they're really crappy Giants that that's the way the NFL Works everything is what have you done for me lately it's like a sales job job especially in the New York Market oh yes in a New York minute they forget um now running wise obviously that's what his his Forte is on this season 47 rushes 204 yards it's a 4.3 yards per carry average four touchdowns now last week though 97 yards guys that's almost half his yardage last week yeah he he had a slow start I mean we were talking about that before our picks last week that yeah we thought he was gonna explode this year and he hasn't played that well now he really like I said again he you have a lot of good success when you play a crappy team and that's what he's had um now he didn't even play a good portion of the game as well because they took him out and let back up Zack shanet one of the guys we also talked about during the uh the draft there uh good pickup by them by the way guys I should say that that's that was a good pick uh he's a guy who started a lot at UCLA uh probably doesn't have a very high ceiling but has a very high floor he had 46 yards and a 5.1 carry average against the Panthers last week overall in the season though 73 yards 4.6 yard per carry average so this could end up being more of a dual-headed monster as the season progresses and I think it probably will because I think Zack sharan is actually better than some people give him credit for and not just because he has a name that sounds like a find wine it does sounds like a sounds like sh almost it does a little have a little bit of bite with an apple crisp at the end I'll have some of that chabanet please over as well with some cheese and apples cheese but yeah so far this year Giants have been allowing 4.6 yards per carry not very good no not very good at all now the nice thing is though the Seahawks play right into the Giant's hands if there's one thing that Giants do very well it's playing Zone rushers at least over the last couple years obviously year to year things are a little different here so for those who don't know what that means there's there's two type of run and tiple there's Gap and there's zone so a gap uh rushing offense you're told Point Blank go to the a gap go to the B Gap go go outside you know it's it's your told Point Blank where to go in a Zone rushing attack you're much more given the fluidity to go where you think you need to go Bas on where the defense is and where the holes are I waiting for a joke surpris you to make a joke on that one disappointing zoning out oh god um so again this is a Zone Rush defense that sry zone Rush offense at that point and the Giants have done very well against that a lot of that is because they have you know especially in the middle there with Leonard Williams and Dexter Lawrence they've guys who are very good at clogging up the hole yeah I knew I there from you but these are guys who are good at taking up space and taking away gaps like that that forces a guy like Kenneth Murray to go do one of two things either go right into them and try to bull rush them good luck or go to the outside which wasn't the intent originally in the play and that gives us more time to go ahead and follow Pursuit and all so I don't think he's gonna have a big game I could be wrong obviously I just don't see it happening it's not what is typical what the Giants again last year against us 18 carries 51 yards that's not a good game and uh Seahawks offensive line was a little healthier and a little I would dare to say better yeah so they're going against uh a lot healthier than they are right now yeah so the Seahawks defense sorry offensive line is a lot weaker than it was last year and our defensive line has gotten a lot better yeah and we got to take advantage of that offensive line because no matter what even if Charles cross comes back they're still missing Lucas um he's and Charles cross is not going to be his usual self at that point there he's still going to be at least a little bit injured uh not 100% healthy there uh they obviously one of their guards also out they they have injuries everywhere across the board guys this is that the the defensive line and I'm GNA say it specifically because I know we talked about before zizo gelari has gotten a lot of slack lately Kon Tibido has got a lot of slack lately you know what though these guys are second and third years players I'm looking at you Leonard Williams I'm looking at you dexra Lawrence the guys who are collectively making like $60 million this year and saying you guys got to get off your freaking butts and do something this week step up because as much as people complain when the 49ers made fun of Daniel Jones and the $40 million he's getting that comes with the territory you want the big check you get the big responsibility with it understand point blank Point Blank and you know what Leonard Williams one of the top paid players not just tackles not just defensive tackles top paid players in this league this year step it up because we need help from those guys specifically to rush up the middle flush Gino outside because I not saying they got at the sack flush him outside at least change up the play give a chance for aiz and Kon to get there help them out help out the Young Guns yeah just once they get got to make Gino make mistakes cuz he will not complete passes that way like I said I showed you that the video that was I saw on Instagram the clip when you could verbally hear from the camera from like the the the middle of sance of Gino Yellen that he was about to get sacked and just threw the ball away he was just under pressure oh my God yeah and like I said Gino I still I still can't buy him being a great quarterback he he's maybe not as quite as bad as some people thought well he's also got he's got a better setup and coaching around him than when he came to the league that's not saying much no that's I think he's probably also matured a lot as well we talked before about you know last year especially where he got punched in the locker room as a jet that probably was somewhat on him let's call it what it is a teammate doesn't punch you unless they're mentally instable or you effed up Roy yeah you gotta say a lot you had have done something that was like excuse me sir yeah hey you do play so well yeah usually you you messed up in some way shape or form if I remember correctly there was something about he was supposed to go to one of his teammates football camps for the Youth that he was doing and said he would do it in everything it didn't show it was wrong that yeah I could be wrong but I want to say that's what it was so don't quote me on that but feel free to look it up verify um but what you have to do is keep this guy moving keep him uncomfortable and keep it where you're giving a little time for this defense as well because we got obviously young Corners going against very very good players DK meaf Tyra Lockett both professionals that have been this league for you know five years now going on strong both of them um you know and they've been very good players for their whole career this is not guy who just peered out of nowhere and had one or two good years you know we went over the stats a minute ago that DK meaf has he's been a very good receiver for quite a while you know you want to go back to Tyler lock at a th000 yards 1100 yards 1,00 yards a th yards 900 yards the guys these these aren't like again these aren't a plus receivers they're a receivers if that makes sense yeah these aren't the guys you're going to say these are the best receivers in all football but when you put this combo together they're one of the best Duos in football because there's not many players many teams that can say I got two guys that should put up a thousand yards every single year that's what they have here so yeah you know we got to get the pressure on we got to make Gino uncomfortable we got to take advantage of his offensive line and we got to cover there's a lot of guys to cover we got to spread out that defense that we got to cover and maybe that we have to Blitz let then wink wants the blitz because we all know he wants just Blitz Blitz Blitz Blitz Blitz you might not need a blitz against this offensive line guys I was about to say might be more important put people back in coverage yeah I agree and I'm curious to see what happens here because Wink's another guy that the the fans and the content creators are just totally like bashing him left and right now like we're so happy we got to keep him this off season we were all worried we're going to lose win what happens if we lose win guys calm down calm your test it's been three

weeks and be those are the same people if he would have been a head coach somewhere else and we play like this Wing should have stayed yeah we should have paid him yeah he would have stayed for more money it just it annoys me sometimes when fans get so quick to give up and so fast to be negative about the team that you suppose you're root for like I get it hasn't looked good so far guys it hasn't looked good so far and when we did our season you know like record show what we think or you know through before the season started we all said this is going to be a tough first half of the schedule it gets better yep and we said you know you said we'd be um two- one right now I said we'd be one- two only difference is the Dallas game you thought we'd win but guys we're doing basically what we should have done the Cowboys were a better team we lost to them hate to say it because of the Cowboys I want to say a few Cowboys but the Cowboys are a better team the 49ers are a better team we lost to them we beat the one team the Arizona Cardinals the one team we faced so far that we're better than yeah now the Seahawks that's that's a team that we're on the same page as I believe I can't sit there and say we're better I can't sit there and say that they're better but we're on the same page we're on the same wavelength as far as talent wise that they are listen they're not winning their division they're going to have to fight for a wild card y sounds familiar sounds very familiar their quarterback is in the top 10 quarterback but he throws pretty well and gets his team playing pretty good H that doesn't sound M well not that not right now but been a while since I felt that way a whole season ago but uh yeah we got the same we just got I think our defense is a little better than theirs I think you know their offense is putting stuff together obviously a little better than ours but we have potential to do the same thing on offense that they're doing we have the talent y we just got to get together we just need to give DJ DJ some time to actually throw the ball down the field a little bit and actually make some good but he's gota also Chuck it down when he gets the chance yes and we also need to make some good running plays like we like like you said we have one of the best running backs in the league we let go to the run too many times wi healthy wi healthy even even last week we've been at the run run game no one like no one had to defend against any of us running and what do we say going into this game we got one of the best mobile quarterbacks you should design plays for it we talked about it here but before we you finish that thought let's go into

this the defense into final thoughts without saying the final thoughts thing whoops but yeah no you're 100% all right we can't that's one of the keys we cannot abandon the run and the offense overall as a whole has to come alive has to come alive it's got to be again not to the degree of what we did in the second half against the Cardinals that's not realistic to expect that we're not going to have 72 Point outcomes like that I mean we're not the Dolphins listen if we could put up exactly what we did that second half of that carinal game through the whole game against the Seahawks we win because that gives our defense more time to like get off the field and rest and actually like be with it the whole game instead of three and out defense out they go down 80 yards we get on three and out defense goes out that that that there's no way your defense is going to stay active if you will they're they're going to get tired and they're going to play and you know the defense overall I think for us has has not been that much of an issue I mean again granted we got we got crush the first game but almost half those points because of turnovers and special teams um you know we didn't look so good the first half against the Cardinals on defense but we did look much amazing and shut down the second half and you know we we gave up a lot from missed tackles last last week against the 49ers so if you if you take away those missed tackles I'm telling you now the Giants might have won the game and that sounds absolutely insane to say but if the Giants had just tackled the players instead of letting them get the extra yards to get the first downs we may very well have won that game it was that close going to that fourth quarter and that's one thing we have to do we're the third worst team right now in the NFL in in missed tackles that needs to stop and I blame that a lot honestly on the coaching staff because I think they were way too soft to them this whole offseason I think they're way too soft to them in the training camp I think they really needed to do a lot more of of technique and the the the Bare Essentials there the you know the the just the simple wrap up and Tackle don't go for the leg and and hit him in the leg and hope you can falls down that doesn't work in the NFL no you got hips down to the knees wrap them up take them down head shoulder knees and toes knees and toes knees and toes you know the other thing is we talked about the the big plays that the you know the Seahawks and given up so far we need the damn big plays deep shots have to be taken and I understand there's a risk that comes with that I will not blame DJ whatsoever I'm saying this very clearly UPF front I will not blame DJ whatsoever if he's aggressive in this game goes for the Deep ball and gives up an interception or two I really won't because at least I know that means he's he's willing to take the shot again because he hasn't been willing the last couple years to take that deep shot as much I need to see the Deep shots taken you have two of the fastest receivers in the entire league hell yeah you might have the fastest Jaylen Hyatt's up there with Tyreek Hill where he may be really the fastest throw them the goddamn ball down the field do it you have to like hide on a slant like that's all you should be doing all day long well all day long it on the nine route and then if it if it if he's covered at that point then you got Waller open in the middle of the field go for it go for it shoot the ball shooter um my last final thought I had was that we need our players to be healthy yeah take your vitamins take your minerals yeah be nice be nice if Seattle's players weren't healthy I'll take any advantage I can get but I mean we need Thomas healthy um you know it' be nice to have saquan even it's 80% of saquan as a decoy you know that kind of stuff would really come in handy um you know brenis should be there obviously based on we're saying Banks should be there so it's really the big three right now that we're still trying to figure out what's going on with I think it's more mostly Thomas sequan and aiz those three are and we're a full strength that's a nice Advantage going against team that has not been you know has not been very good yeah as far as strengthwise you know a defense that's been struggling an offensive line that's decimated that's the team we want to go against we're picking potentially a great time to go against Seahawks that's first in it any other final thoughts you got Rob I think uh that's about it like we need DJ to step back up we we talked about this um offseason com in here that he's he has the potential with a CBO of quarterbacks in this the in the NFC to be a pro bowler and actually not have to buy his ticket yeah he needs to step up and prove why we said that I called him to be one this year he should be a pro bowl godd damn it yeah he could throw the ball he could run the ball let's let's mix it up and do a little bit of both he can also dance if he wants to he can leave his World Behind well he does a safety dance on

Sidelines all right let's get to a couple of comments here before we head on out for the night here Deb says I have a bad feeling about this game hope I'm wrong and I think Deb you know it it's it's okay to be nervous about this game to a certain degree because we're playing a team that's that's I think at the same level as us but I do think the big thing is people keep talking Non-Stop about DJ and he's two and 10 in in in you know prime time games two and 10 and you know to me it's like this is so overblown because it's not just him he's playing against really good teams keep in mind usually in these in these games you know you g to blame him for not being the ners is that we're going to do um you know people are talking about as if he just has had good games like for example against the commanders a couple years ago remember that one where he kept on giving the game back away you know he's it's not that he's played bad those games plus keep in mind he doesn't have an overall good record to begin with it's not like he's a you know we go 10 and six every year and those six losses is because we have a couple of Prime Time games so you know don't people freak you out too much going too deep in the woods here the the we got we got a three-day extra rest keep in mind the Seahawks played on Sunday we haven't played since Thursday so we're already a week since we played a game we still got three more days to go the Seahawks have to travel to the east coast where the Giants get to stay home and chill they've been there for the last week and a half there's some definite advantages we talk about the injes it's a eight o'clock game they gotta sit there from coming from SE Seattle what's it two or three hour difference over there they're gonna be up past badtime trying to play the Giants that's well the three hours is backwards so if anything actually helps them because 8:00 start time is a five o'clock start time there so that

part um let's see de says I don't think the playoffs are realistic I think they are I still do if we lose this game I'll still say they're realistic because in get the playoffs you just have to be above 500 nowadays and your chances are you're going to be in contention for the playoffs this team is not that bad guys it's not we just need to get healthy which it seems like we're starting to get get healthy and we need to play some lower level competition to get some confidence up we the cawks aren't a lower level competition but at least they're an evil an evil an even competition so uh de ball says they don't play high enough I 100% agree on that one and yes I think this is the game you're going to see him potentially open up become he could be that guy that we talking about the guys who get like 120 yards against them he could be that guy this week he really could be uh see we got I show speed 23 4 5 6 789 from the land of twitch hello hello hello hello there the land of twitch type howdy if you're not a

bot it's okay at least the Box get her stats going up it's okay uh Deb also says oh I don't blame DJ I blame no offensive line yeah I mean I I know you don't blame DJ I'm just saying that in General because I think people are hearing those stats and hearing that all week long and they're going oh another Prime Time game he's going to lose another one it's it's not that he has shown up in the brightest lights we did win a playoff game last year so this is gonna be a fun game guys I really think it's gonna be a fun game I think it's gonna be a very close game hopefully it's fun at the end um Rob and already gave our predictions on that last uh you episode there uh we both said we think the Giants will win uh I'm sticking by that I think this is a lot of things that are going into the Giants favor I think that this is potentially a Get Right game for them and I don't mean that in the way of get right because the Seahawks are bad that's usually what you hear I mean more like get right like we beat a decent team and all of a sudden the Giants get some confidence goinging into that Miami game next week I I mean it by the Giants getting together and actually playing football for four quarters right not two yeah four four B gol all righty guys again we'll be on tomorrow night for you guys 8:00 pm Eastern Standard Time on the two giant goop balls um group on Facebook that's where uh we'll be just there exclusively there again if you want to go there go to BU meac coffee.com two giant goball sign up one of the memberships and join the group then after that because you won't get admitted before that after that and then we'll be able to get you guys in you'll be with us there tomorrow night there um after that key of course Sunday night we're going to be here for the talking about the uh the recap there we're going to do it Sunday instead of Monday because obviously Monday we have a game we'll be live as soon as the game is over of course on Monday so stick around for that after the game come right over to YouTube or Facebook or whatever you want to use YouTube's probably the one well or or should say Twitter but we're having problem with Twitter again Twitter for some reason again is not showing our our feed here I had fix try to figure out how to fix that um but YouTube honestly YouTube's probably the best one to go on to I I hate to give one particular favorite there but it's a simple platform if you watch it not live I can edit out the the intro we do and stuff like that so it's a good place to watch it and of course we're always on every single audio podcast platform as well next day as well so besides being on YouTube Facebook Twitter twitch and of course Rob favorite my LinkedIn profile were on iHeart radio Apple podcast Spotify Amazon Google podcast all the big ones there as well guys all right so we will see you guys again tomorrow night if you're joining up a member or if you're listening to this on Friday that means we I mean we'll see you tonight because we're talking in the future term alrighty guys we'll see you again Friday night if you are a member Sunday night otherwise everybody we appreciate you listening today Sunday night look Sunday night we're doing the recap oh CC yes yes see you go see so again appreciate everybody listening in today um enjoy the uh the this weekend's games here College Pro and all those kind of like there um should see Dion Sanders get whooped again probably this weekend too so make a little humble pie there uh I'm I'm rooting for the guy but I'm sorry you took over Colorado you're going to take your lumps before you do any wins it is what it is yeah so all right we'll see you again uh either tomorrow Friday or on Sunday um until then giant fans go Gman go Gman
